Kelley Supply Enters Premium Pepper Market with Acquisition of G and G Peppers

Colby, WI— Kelley Supply, Inc., a leader in food ingredient distribution, is excited to announce the acquisition of G and G Peppers, LLC, a renowned producer of high-quality pepper products based in Gaston, Indiana. The strategic transaction marks Kelley Supply’s entry into the rapidly growing pepper market, further solidifying its commitment to providing diverse food ingredients to its customers.

Kelley Supply remains confident in the continuous growth of the pepper cheese market, fueled by evolving consumer tastes and made evident by the ongoing product innovations in flavors, convenience, and specialty cheeses and sauces.

“At Kelley Supply, we are continually assessing demands in order to provide access to quality products and services our customers need in their every-day business activities,” said Greg Alberts, president of Kelley Supply. “G and G Peppers has a longstanding reputation for excellence in producing premium pepper products. Through this acquisition, we aim to uphold that tradition while broadening our reach and capabilities. We are excited to integrate G and G Peppers into our operations, bringing together decades of industry experience and expertise.

G and G Peppers will be offering an array of high-quality peppers, including jalapeño, habanero, banana, hatch, and mixed cut varieties. By overseeing every aspect of the pepper process—from seedlings to field transplants to innovative processing methods—the company ensures freshness, functionality, and effectiveness in its products.

Kelley Supply will also be introducing sweet heat pickles to its product line, catering to diverse production needs.

“From hot peppers and sweet pickles to tangy relishes, we are going to explore the boundaries of flavor — limited only, perhaps, by the imagination of the cheese manufacturer,” Alberts said. “With a complete line of high-quality ingredients, we are committed to creating a diverse range of flavors and empowering our customers to turn creativity into unforgettable products.”

The company will be called G and G Peppers, a Kelley Supply company.  Kelley Supply will manage the distribution of G and G Peppers from its headquarters in Colby, Wisconsin, leveraging their well-established, business-to-business distribution network within the food industry. The sale and sourcing of G and G products will be exclusive to Kelley Supply customers, ensuring dedicated service and product availability.

“Our top priority during this transition is to maintain the high-quality products and exceptional service our customers rely on,” Alberts added. “We’ve partnered with a SQF-certified pepper processing plant to guarantee quality and an uninterrupted supply, ensuring that our customers can continue producing their finished products without disruption.”

Further, to facilitate seamless integration, Kelley Supply has named Nada Holland, customer relations manager. Holland has been instrumental in fostering strong customer relationships at G and G and will continue to play a key role moving forward.

“I am excited to join Kelley Supply and continue my journey with our valued customers,” said Holland. “We are committed to working closely with our customers to produce safe, high-quality food products and to support our customers and pepper food manufacturers. This acquisition marks a significant milestone for both companies, and I am confident that together, we will achieve even greater success in the food ingredient market.”
